Video Essay!
So, yesterday, i worked on my video essay. I thought that it would be due today, so i made sure i got it done before then. But i checked Facbook, last night, when i was DONE with my video essay, and i found out, that it's going to be due on Monday. Like really? But at least it's done. So, yesterday when i was doing my essay, i locked myself in my room, so no one would interrupt my video. I set up the tripod, and the chair. I had to ask for a camera, but found out that we actually have a Flip camera, so i'm like "Okay i'll use that." The thing is, it was completely dead. And it takes FOREVER to get it fully charged. I charged it for about two hours, so the battery wasn't completely full, but i needed to use it. So i stuck the camera on the tripod, sat on the chair, and practiced what i was gonna say. When i got it, i video taped myself like 4 times. Each time, something was wrong, like i was off center, i was too soft, or i kept stuttering. I was really nervous, cause i didn't want anyone watching me, and i was scared to see what it would look like in class >__< The camera has also been giving me problems. THE CAMERA DIED ON ME! In the middle of a GOOD video, it cut off, and shut off. That happened like twice! So i had to re charge it. When i was satisfied with the video i did, i had to watch it to make sure it was good. And what happens then, you ask?? The camera flickers, and the screen turns completely green. So i'm just sitting there in the chair, going "What happened?!" I was so confused!! I think it was cause, while it was charging, my brother came in the room, going "Where's the Flip?! Where's the Flip?!" He spots it, and yanks it right out of the computer without even ejecting it safely. He needed it for his "special video game". To take a picture of his score or something, i don't know. So i plugged it pack in, and waited little while, then ejected it safely, checked it, and it worked, thankfully. Then, i searched on Google, how to add a video to a powerpoint, and it showed me a video that lead to YouTube, a video called "How to Add a Video to Your Powerpoint For Dummies" or something like that. I just followed that video, and voila! Here's my video essay for you guys!

Hero Presentation!
Today, during advisory, I shared my powerpoint to Mr. Ing. I thought that we were gonna share it during homeroom, so i was sort of nervous. But i found out that we just needed to show him the powerpoint any time during the day. I couldn't show him during period 4 because we had bookfair. I decided to show him during advisory. I think i was the first seventh grader to show Mr. Ing my powerpoint. I was scared to show him incase i did my powerpoint wrong. But, as i went through each slide, he was only looking for the criteria needed, like if we put two reasons why, and if he had pictures. I'm glad that i followed the directions, and put the right things on each slide. After the presentation, that was it. I was done showing him my powerpoint, except for my video essay, which is due on Wednesday. I don't know what i was so nervous about(x.

Bullying Assembly!
On Friday, we had a bullying assembly. We had some guests over to do a presentation about bullying in the cafe. This assembly was for EVERYONE in the school. And when i say everyone, i mean that we needed to fit ALL the eighth graders, and ALL the seventh graders, in one cafe. That was quite a challenge. But us leadership students needed to make it happen. So the first thing that we needed to do was to get in partners. I was partnered with Heighlee. Then, we needed to get all the eighth graders in first, so that they could sit in the back of the cafe. Each pair needed to find a class, and lead them to where they needed to go. If possible, we needed to make sure one homeroom could fit on one long side of the tables. We needed everyone to scoot down so that we had enough space. It was a challenge though, because some of the eighth graders wouldn't listen. Some didn't want to sit by someone, and others just didn't want to scoot down at all! That's what made things really frustrating. And then came down the seventh graders! That caused a lot more chaos because there were WAY more students on the campus now. And some of the seventh grade teachers were talking to me and Heighlee telling us to let them in first. But we couldn't pay attention with all this chaos around us! Another problem was that we couldn't really fit everyone in the cafe. Everyone was smashed by each other, but somehow, we finally figured out a way for everyone to fit. THEN, the assembly started. We sat outside, trying to listen to the assembly as well. Then, it was time for this thing called Role Play. Mr. Ing picked the students on probation, and a couple of other students to do, sort of like a play in front of the school. The eighth graders were the bullies and the seventh graders were the kids who were getting bullied. Shaela was the main bully, and it was funny to see her bully the seventh graders, because she is really nice to everyone. It was also interesting because everything was improvised. They didn't really have that much time to practice, so they just made everything up, on the top of their heads, right on stage. When the assembly finished, everyone came out, and we stayed to the side. Because of the assembly, there was a different schedule for that day. The bell rang and everyone thought that school was done, when it wasn't. We still had 10 minutes left of school, but everyone still left. That was also another big problem. But overall, we had a really tough day that day, but at least we survived throughout it.(:
Hero Powerpoint!
Mkayy, soo in leadership, we were assigned to do a Hero powerpoint. There are 6 slides total for the powerpoint. For the first slide, that's the title slide. We put the title "My Hero", your hero's name, and your name. We also need to come up with a theme. My theme is hearts. I chose hearts because my hero, which is my dad, has a special place in my heart. For the second slide, you write things about your hero. Not why they are your hero. But just about your hero. Also, we can only put one picture of your hero on the 2 slide. On the third and fourth slide, that's where you give reasons on why they're your hero. On those two slides, you put two pics of your hero on each slide. You also need to give 2 reasons on each slide, on why they're your hero. The 5 slide is where your video essay comes in. Your video essay just talks about your hero for at least two minutes. And then, if you want to do anything extra, you can after the two minutes. You also need some music to your video essay. The music needs to also match with what you're talking about in the video. You can't be talking about how your hero is special to you, while playing a Justin Bieber song, unless the song can relate to whatever you're talking about. And the 6 slide is the last slide. It just restates everything about your hero, in just one paragraph. So that's what us leadership students were assigned to do over the weekend. I'm almost finished with mines, just a some editing i need to do. But overall, it's been a fun project because it has made me think of who really is my hero. This also made me realize that i should thank my hero for always being there by my side. Mkayy, well that's all for now, soo byeeee!!

My Hero...
My daddy is my hero. You wanna know why? It's because he has been there, by my side, my whole life whenever I needed him. He never ditched me for something more important. Whenever I need him, he is always right there for me, ready to give out any advice. My dad has given me the strength to become a stronger person. He has made me to who I am today. My hero has always told me, "Don't give up. If it's too hard to solve it one way, look for a different way to solve it." That was when he was helping me with a math problem. I later realized that it could also relate to my life. I love it how when I'm in the grouchiest mood, and I have that look on my face, he tries to mock me, and makes a funny face. That just turns my frown right upside down. If I were trying to tell my hero something, I would most definitley tell him thank you for being by my side whenever I needed him, because I don't think he hears that enough.
Some characteristics that I think heroes share, is thoughtfulness. Without that trait, I don't think that they'd be called Heroes. Another characteristic that all heroes should share is being respectful. When listening to someone elses story to give out advice, you need to understand how that person is feeling. Maybe put yourself in their shows. I think that a hero also needs to be generous. They should give you some of their own time for you. That shows that they honestly care for you.
My hero is very thoughtful. He always thinks of me, which is why he is always there for me. If he wasn't as thoughtful as he is, he wouldn't be my hero. But it's his thoughfulness that makes him my great hero. That's what I love about him. He is always thinking of others.
My daddy has done so much for me, and i just wanted to say
I LOVE YOU DADDY!! and you too Mommy(x

SECRET SANTA!!(:
This year, we are doing an acitvity called Secret Santa. This is where we pick names out of a box, && who's ever name we have, we need to buy a gift for that person, with the limit of $20. We are also NOT allowed to tell ANYONE whos name we have. I think that this is helping us learn to follow directions.
Okayy, sooo, i love Claire's. It's one of my favorite stores. It has a lot of earrings, which i love, but don't have because i keep loosing them -.-" It also has different styles of Fedora hats ^^, && my brother has been making me jealous of his. I also like clothes from Macy's Teen Section xDD. LOLOL' && I also love to snack on things while i watch tv, && i pretty much do that everyday, so i like to pig out(x Another thing that i like to do, is go to Jamba Juice after school with my friends, && just hang out. It's really fun, cause it's yummy, && it gives me a chance to chill with my friends.
Kayy, that's pretty much it! Hahaha, you don't really have to get me these things, cause i'm guessing that they could be pretty expensive. But, haha anyways, Merry Christmas Everyone!! LOL' kayy byeeeeeeeee!!!!

ISA!
On Friday, we had ISA, at Ilima. That's where other schools come to Ilima to play sports. We had Softball && Basketball. I was one of the score keepers for basketball. For every basket they made, they get two points. It was fun watching what schools were good, && what schools needed more practice. It was also really funny because when i was score keeping, at the end of a game, the score was 50-06. && Guess what team had 50. Waipahu. Anyways, we were out there, from about 8:30 to 1:00. I think i really should have put on suncreen, because it was really hot && sunny. But that's part of being responsible. We had some problems during the day, like people not listening to what Mr. Ing says. We need to pay more attention, && take initiative, && do things without being told to. That's all part of being responsible, && i think that's something i need to work on. ISA is not only for us to have schools come && play sports. It also helps us leadership students show how much we can do. It's like what Mr. Ing said. We don't need to make intros for TV, because it is already said in the broadcast. But it's just a way for us to practice being responsible. Back to ISA, it was a great experience to be able to welcome teams over to play Softball && Volleyball with other teams. It was also another chance to have fun with our leadership family. I think that with any chance you get to have fun with your friends, you should take it, because it's all about having fun. && Getting the job done ^--^
